Where Are They Now? Ayia Abdeljabbar

Welcome to "Where Are They Now?", a series that follows the journey of individuals who have attended one of our courses and how they have applied the skills and knowledge gained with us in their professional and personal lives. We believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and we take pride in knowing that our program has had a positive impact on the lives of our attendees.

Introducing Ayia Abdeljabbar as our newest addition to our "Where Are They Now?" series.

What were you doing before you got into aesthetics?

I was CVICU nursing after completing my BSN at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I then went on to complete my MSN at Saint Louis University and worked with concierge medicine before pursuing aesthetics.

What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?

I have always been interested in the beauty industry, but craved advanced education. I began to invest in anatomy based education in aesthetics and fell in love with building confidence in my clients. Very different from ICU nursing, I began to see my clients return with confidence rather than assisting with end of life and critical care. This career has allowed me to thrive and look forward to my job every day all while welcoming my second baby boy and the unexpected loss of my dad this past year.

Why did you choose The Confidence Lab's training program?

I chose The Confidence Lab for my training because I admire all of the providers and the amount of education instilled in training other providers and clients. Truly, empowering women rather than discouraging them. I'm slightly obsessed with Rana and her entire team!

What is your favorite aspect of working in the field of aesthetics?

My favorite aspect of working in aesthetics is the confidence it instills in already beautiful clients. Focusing on wellness as a whole is what I aim for with my clients. Working on achieving specific client goals is my favorite part!

What are you doing now?

I decided to move back to Milwaukee and open my own clinic named Oūdera Aesthetics + Wellness in Oak Creek, WI. We offer injectables, microneedling, chemical peels, medical weight loss, peptides, and PRP/PRF.

What advice would you give to those considering a career in this field?

Do not be afraid to take a leap of faith as this career will open doors that you could only dream of!
