Welcome to "Where Are They Now?", a series that follows the journey of individuals who have attended one of our courses and how they have applied the skills and knowledge gained with us in their professional and personal lives. We believe that learning is a lifelong journey. We take pride in knowing that our program has positively impacted the lives of our attendees.

Introducing Ayia Abdeljabbar as our newest addition to our "Where Are They Now?" series.

What Were You Doing Before You Got Into Aesthetics?

Before entering the aesthetics field, I worked in CVICU nursing. I completed my BSN at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. After that, I pursued my MSN at Saint Louis University. I then transitioned to concierge medicine before finally diving into aesthetics.

What Inspired You to Pursue a Career in Aesthetics?

I've always had a passion for the beauty industry. However, I craved advanced education. I began investing in anatomy-based education in aesthetics. This journey opened my eyes to the joy of building confidence in my clients. Unlike my previous role in ICU nursing, I now see clients return with newfound confidence. This career has allowed me to thrive. I look forward to my job every day, even while welcoming my second baby boy and coping with the unexpected loss of my dad this past year.

Why Did You Choose The Confidence Lab's Training Program?

I chose The Confidence Lab for my training because I admire all the providers and the extensive education they offer. They truly empower women rather than discourage them. I’m slightly obsessed with Rana and her entire team!

What Is Your Favorite Aspect of Working in the Field of Aesthetics?

My favorite aspect of working in aesthetics is the confidence it instills in already beautiful clients. I focus on wellness as a whole. Achieving specific client goals is what I love most!

What Are You Doing Now?

I decided to move back to Milwaukee and open my own clinic named Oūdera Aesthetics + Wellness in Oak Creek, WI. We offer injectables, microneedling, chemical peels, medical weight loss, peptides, and PRP/PRF.

What Advice Would You Give to Those Considering a Career in This Field?

Do not be afraid to take a leap of faith! This career will open doors that you could only dream of.

The Journey Ahead

As I reflect on my journey, I realize how far I’ve come. The transition from nursing to aesthetics was not just a career change; it was a transformation. I have learned so much about myself and my capabilities. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities.

Building a Community

At Oūdera Aesthetics + Wellness, I aim to foster a community. It’s essential to create a space where clients feel safe and empowered. I want them to know they can express their desires and concerns openly. This approach not only builds trust but also enhances the overall experience.

Continuing Education

Education doesn’t stop after training. I believe in continuous learning. The aesthetics field is always evolving. Staying updated with the latest techniques and trends is crucial. I regularly attend workshops and seminars. This commitment ensures that I provide the best for my clients.

Embracing Change

Life is full of unexpected changes. Embracing these changes has been vital for my growth. The loss of my dad was a significant challenge. However, it taught me resilience. I learned to appreciate every moment and to cherish the relationships I build with my clients.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my journey in aesthetics has been fulfilling. I encourage anyone considering this path to take that leap of faith. The rewards are immense. You’ll not only change your life but also the lives of those you serve. Remember, the beauty industry is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about building confidence and empowering others.

I’m excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing this journey. Thank you for being a part of my story!
