Lisa Rivero MS, FNP-BC, APRN, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Lisa has over 10 years of aesthetic experience and prides herself on offering advanced aesthetic treatments that are both safe and effective at The Confidence Lab. Lisa is our seasoned science nerd with extensive training in on label and off label neuromodulators,  facial fillers and PRP. Lisa has traveled nationally and internationally to be trained by those considered to be the best in the industry.

Who Can Attend the Confidence Lab Customized Advanced Full Day Training Day?

This program is for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists and physicians who have a solid foundational knowledge of facial fillers and neuromodulators. We require you to have hands-on experience treating patients with facial fillers and neuromodulators. If you are a healthcare provider new to aesthetics, we recommend you begin with our introductory, two-day course as well as our online courses.

What Will I Learn?

We believe in giving you the best tools to deliver natural, safe and beautiful results catering to the entire face, neck and decolletage with facial fillers, platelet rich plasma and neuromodulators.

There’s an agenda outline, but this course is customized to your needs. You will be contacted prior to the training to discuss your individual learning goals and these goals will be incorporated in the didactic and during the hands-on portion. Previous topic requests include treatments for tear trough, chin and jawline as well as microtoxin techniques.

I am a licensed RN, NP, PA from out of state and would like to inject during a hands on training, do I need an Illinois license?

Yes hands on injecting now requires a valid Illinois licensure or temporary license through endorsement. This can take up to two weeks to process so apply right away. To obtain a temporary license through endorsement here is a guide:

1. Go the State of Illinois web site to apply https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/
2. Click on New Applications and click on the "Click here" button
3. Register as an Individual. Ensure Yes is checked at the bottom of the application
4. They will require you to enter SSN to locate whether you have had an account before
5. Create an account and enter you details
6. You can now create an Application from the ONLINE SERVICES menu (top right hand side)
7. If you are a RN and NP choose Nursing Board (RN, LPN & APN). If you are a PA choose Physician Assistant Board
8. For application method choose Endorsement
9. Complete the application. Please note that date when its approved to ensure you have it prior to your hands on training event.

Is Illinois a compact state?

The Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) allows licensed nurses around the U.S. to work in other states that take part in the compact with just one license, called a multistate license. Which Areas Will We Inject?

The focus is on full face rejuvenation with your individual goals in mind. Our most requested topics for this customized course are cannula use in facial areas, tear trough treatments, lower face rejuvenation and microtoxin. Please note we do not offer aesthetic training in areas that are high-risk areas for blindness such as the nose, forehead and glabellar regions. If requested, we can give you recommendations for other training providers for these areas.

Will I Need a Model?

Yes. You are required to bring a “focus” model to be injected by yourself, who will allow you to focus on your learning goals. Models are required to arrive wearing no makeup or jewelry and with hair pulled off the face. We will provide the specific arrival time for your model prior to the training. Note that many students attend this session with peers from the same practice or elsewhere and choose to use each other as models.

How Many People Will Be In the Course?

We value an intimate experience which is why we limit this course to 4-6 people. We believe this allows us to provide a personal, customized session for you to gain a great deal of practice working on the type of injections and areas of the face that most interest you. Please note that because of the small class size, this course tends to fill up quickly.

Will I Get Enough Hands-On Experience?

We value the time and investment that you have made to advance your aesthetic knowledge by choosing us and we are committed to making this learning experience worthwhile for you. Some people learn by doing and others learn by observing. Regardless of your preference, we guarantee you will have 1:1 expert hands-on instruction with your model.

Will I Need to Bring Injectable Product For the Course?

You are welcome to bring FDA-approved hyaluronic acid facial filler and neuromodulator for your model. Otherwise, your model can receive 50% off retail price at The Confidence Bar. Please note: Hyaluronic acid facial fillers are the only products used during the training due to the safety profile and reversibility.

What Happens When the Class Is Over?

Hopefully, we will have exceeded your expectations for the day, and you’ll leave with a new circle of friends. That’s because we encourage you to develop professional and supportive relationships with your peers in our training sessions, to continue to support each other during your aesthetic careers. Our goal is to build a community that empowers each other in continued growth, shares authentically, and practices safely.

Will I earn educational credits?

This activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association for approval to award 7 contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Commission on Accreditation. Please note this is not a CME course.

What Steps Have You Taken for Covid 19?

The Confidence Lab is completely sanitized with hospital-grade approved agents, High touchpoints like door handles and elevator surfaces as well as public areas are sanitized multiple times per day. UV filters in the air conditioning units, UV filters in the treatment rooms, nontoxic hypochlorous acid misting, plexiglass, and staff training ensure that every measure is taken to ensure safety. In addition, we closely follow the guidelines outlined by the state. As of February 28, 2022 individuals are not required to show proof of vaccination to dine indoors, visit gyms, or enjoy entertainment venues where food or drink are being served in Chicago.

What is the Dress Code for Class?

The dress code is business casual. Scrubs are not required but are optional. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes such as sneakers as we stand most of the day. If you have long hair, please wear it off your face.

I’m Driving—Where Do I Park?

If you intend to drive, please allow yourself adequate time to facilitate parking. Street parking at the Confidence Lab is available but limited.
