Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner & Founder of The Confidence Lab
As a dedicated aesthetic nurse practitioner and the proud founder of The Confidence Bar –a luxury Medical Spa established in 2020 and The Confidence Lab-- a respected training center established in 2013--my journey in the field of nursing has been rewarding and diverse.
My career has taken me across various specialties and countries, beginning with women's health in New Zealand and then to Australia to work in orthopedics and ENT. I moved to London and studied to be a midwife at Kings College, then spent time in Italy working as a private nurse for the “rich and famous.” But it was my year in France, where I was first exposed to aesthetics, that led to this rewarding career in the US.
The start of my career in aesthetics predated the FDA approval of Botox Cosmetic, and since then, I have navigated all the ensuing complexities of aesthetic medicine. I genuinely believe what sets me apart is my commitment to transparency regarding my mistakes and the pitfalls encountered when starting out in this nascent field of medicine. By sharing my experiences, I hope to guide others and help prevent them from making the same mistakes I made—there weren’t many, but you only want to make them once when dealing with precious faces!
What would others say about me? Probably that I work hard, strive for excellence, insist on authenticity, and I sit at the front row of every national and international conferences taking notes and eager to learn. I’m proud that I’m frequently asked to share my knowledge and experiences on stages worldwide, and I believe my biggest success is watching others soar.
As a young girl, I remember my beloved aunts arguing over whether I would become a nurse or a teacher. Today I am both. My passion lies in providing healthcare practitioners with the best possible start in aesthetics—something I felt was lacking in my own journey. By equipping my colleagues with a solid foundation and a strong moral compass, I aspire to have a meaningful impact and inspire future leaders in the field.

I attended the Full Day Advanced customized training with Rana, Lamija and Cristina. I traveled from California and this training exceeded my expectaions. The staff took their time to cover the subjects we requested, answered all our questions and the environment was warm and comfortable. I don't want to forget to mention Daisy who helped coordinate all our needs and was always there to make sure we were doing okay. I would highly recommend The Confidence Bar Lab trainings!

I did the 2 day Intro to Aesthetics course and can't say enough good things about it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home with the instructor. Rana's sense of humor and positive outlook made the course super laid back and easy to understand. Cristina, Lamija, and Angie were all very knowledgeable and patient. We had lots of practice injecting on day 2 and plenty of opportunities for questions. I can't wait to go back for more training. It was a great experience and definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into the industry.
